Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan comment on the Megxit

On Instagram, Harry and Meghan posted their last post as Senior Royals. In it, they say goodbye to their 11.3 million followers with the words: "Many thanks to this community – for their support, inspiration and joint commitment to the good in the world. We look forward to meeting you again soon connect. You were great! " Even if you don't hear from them on Instagram for the time being, the work will continue in the background.

Through a spokesman, Harry and Meghan continue to announce the following, Royal reporter Omid Scobie said:

Withdrawal from the public for months

The Royals will "spend the next few months concentrating on their family". Nevertheless, they will do their best "to continue their work in safety and privacy", to support charity organizations and to work for a good cause.

Buckingham Palace is out

No member of the Court's communications unit will act on behalf of the Sussexes, "including the spokesman for the palace, household representatives, or (other) royal sources."

PR work will initially be carried out by the PR company Goldman Sachs

The couple's media work in the United States and all non-Commonwealth countries is temporarily managed by the Sunshine Sachs PR firm in New York. Former Royal Foundation adviser James Holt will take care of communications in the UK and the Commonwealth. (The Royal Foundation was founded in 2009 by Harry and Prince William, 37. After the princes' weddings, Duchess Catherine, 37 or Meghan joined them. In 2019, Harry and Meghan were announced to withdraw from the foundation).

Not a new foundation, but a charity organization

As reported, plans for a Sussex Royal Foundation will not continue. Instead, Harry and Meghan will focus on building a new nonprofit. Catherine St-Laurent becomes managing director. She also assumes the post of chief of staff for Harry and Meghan in general.

Prince Harry works with the tourism industry

Harry's sustainable tourism company Travalyst is founded as an independent non-profit organization in Great Britain. He is currently working with partners to better understand how he can help with the restrictions related to fighting the Covid 19 pandemic.

Harry and Meghan take care of their safety

As announced by the Sussexes the day before, they have taken their own private security precautions. "Reporting and speculation about security measures," said a spokesman for the couple, "increase the risk to everyone who needs protection … and potential members of the public." There will be no further comment on this.
