After Queen Elizabeth found her final resting place on September 19, 2022, there was supposedly only one thing for Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan to do: just flee quickly.

Now the Royal Family has done it: Queen Elizabeth, † 96, was laid to rest on September 19, 2022 and was buried. It’s been a long and emotional few days for the royals – now they can all continue to mourn in silence their beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan: They want to go home

For Prince Harry, 38, and Duchess Meghan, 41, normal everyday life should slowly return and it does not take place in Great Britain, but in their adopted home in Montecito, California. King Charles’ youngest son, 73, and the former actress (‘Suits’) ended up not seeing their two children together – Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1 – for two weeks. An exceptional situation for the children and the parents.

They want to see their children as soon as possible

Victoria Ward, the British Telegraph’s royal correspondent, said: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to fly back to America as soon as possible to be reunited with their children.” An alleged source from the palace seemed to know even more about “Radar Online” and said yesterday to the portal: “Your plan is to fly home this evening or tomorrow morning.” Apparently they didn’t want to stay in Britain for a minute longer than absolutely necessary.

Missing her children will certainly be the main reason for a quick departure, but there is also the strained relationship that prevails within the family. During the period of mourning, a “truce” was entered into, but this truce has now passed its time and should be gone again.

The fronts are hardened within the family anyway. In particular, the relationship between Prince William, 40, and Prince Harry is said to be more complicated than ever. The UK visit is said to have been accompanied by humiliation and the feeling of being left out for Meghan and Harry. The pair were even reportedly disinvited from the state reception the day before Queen Elizabeth’s funeral. Not an easy situation that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan allegedly wanted to avoid as soon as possible.
