Prince Harry traveled to London for the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla, but there was not much to see from the drop-out royal when the ceremony was televised.

After Duchess Meghan, 41, was covered by a large candle most of the time at Queen Elizabeth’s state funeral, †96, Prince Harry, 38, had the same fate at his father’s coronation.

The dropout Royal was not covered by a prop, but by his aunt, Princess Anne, 72 – more precisely by her headgear. Anne, who attended her brother’s coronation in uniform, wore a matching hat adorned with a large red feather. And it dangled in front of Prince Harry throughout the coronation service, ensuring that the 38-year-old’s face was obscured almost throughout the television footage.

Princess Anne didn’t seem to care, after all, she announced her outfit a few days earlier in an interview with “CBS News”. “I have a role as Colonel in the Blues and Royals in the Household Cavalry Regiment as Gold Stick [in Waiting]. And Gold Stick was the original close protection officer.” Not least because it solves my clothing problem.”

Prince Harry quickly disappears after the coronation

Prince Harry didn’t spend much time with his relatives this weekend. Having traveled to the UK on Friday 5 May 2023, the exiled royal made his way to the airport immediately after the coronation ceremony in order to be back home as soon as possible. The reason: His son Archie celebrated his fourth birthday on May 6th and Harry tried everything to be able to spend at least a few more hours with his offspring on his special day.
