Not only the royals are giving Prince Harry the cold shoulder, but also close friends are currently less than ever to have to do with the self-proclaimed book author. There are solid reasons for this.

As is well known, Prince Harry, 36, has signed a contract with a publisher to write his memoirs and the publication of the book is announced for the end of 2022. But although many people would certainly be proud to be part of the prince’s memories, not everyone in his inner circle is enthusiastic about this idea.

Prince Harry: Friends ask not to be mentioned

In addition to the Royal Family, which is said to be trembling about what Prince Harry will reveal next in terms of shocking family secrets, several of his oldest and closest friends are said to have emailed the Royal to not be mentioned in his book. As a well-informed insider reveals in the Daily Mail, it is mainly Harry’s friends from his school days in Eton and the years in the military who prefer not to be named.

Friends fear damage to their reputation

Harry’s friends see it as a kind of “breach of trust” if he suddenly unpacks details from his wild youth, because his friends were a part of it and should also not have been children of sadness A friend of the prince reports that they were young, and that some friends are worried about their careers and private lives, which they have built up in the meantime. “The whole development feels very hypocritical, as Harry threw various people out of his circle of friends because they in turn spoke to the press,” said the insider.

Wild times before his marriage are the focus of the book

Harry went through wild times before his marriage to Duchess Meghan, 39. Among other things, the prince made headlines when he was photographed naked while visiting Las Vegas and when he showed up at a friend’s costume party in Nazi uniform. It stands to reason that it is precisely this debauchery that Harry will report on in detail in his book. The friends he has known since his late youth and military service and with whom he shared wild experiences at the time are understandably not interested in sharing these unflattering events with the whole world today.
