Prince Harry has spoken of Archie’s first words, which included “Grandma”. The latter made him happy and sad at the same time.

In his documentary series “The Me You Can’t See” (Apple TV +), Prince Harry (36) spoke about his son Archie (2), among other things, and revealed a special first word that the two-year-old uttered when he first spoke . “I put a photo of my mother in his nursery and one of the first words he said – apart from ‘mom’ and ‘dad’ – was’ grandma ”.

It was the sweetest and at the same time saddest incident, as he missed his late mother Princess Diana (1961-1997) as Archie’s grandmother. “She should be here. I wish she could have met Meghan. I wish she were there for Archie,” explains the 36-year-old. The documentary also shows new shots of his little son on the beach and in a swing. The pictures should please Royal fans, who had recently shown disappointment that the couple only published a photo on Archie’s second birthday that did not show the boy’s face.

Harry reports on a traumatic past

Prince Harry also unpacked about his drug history in the interview. He inherited a lot from his mother and suffered from “panic attacks and severe anxiety” in his 20s, according to the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II (95) in the series. This time was a “nightmare” for him, from which he wanted to escape. Harry confesses that he looked for a way out in alcohol and drugs: “I drank, took drugs and tried everything to numb myself.” However, at some point he realized that he wasn’t drinking for fun, but only to suppress his problems. His current wife, Duchess Meghan (39), who advised him to seek therapy, was able to help him out of his crisis.
