Prince Harry: He is becoming increasingly unpopular in his home country

From sympathy to burden for the monarchy? Many Brits have apparently changed their minds about Harry in the past few years.

Prince Harry (35) is falling in popularity, according to a survey reported by the "Sun". Many Britons now see the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II (94), who moved to the USA with his wife Duchess Meghan (38) and their son Archie (1), as a "burden" for the monarchy.

The number of those who believe that Prince Harry is a win for Great Britain is said to have more than halved in the past eight years from 75 to 35 percent, the newspaper reports. Only nine percent saw him in a "YouGov" survey in 2012 as a "burden" for the monarchy. This value is now 38 percent. Meghan is viewed by 51 percent as a "burden" and 24 percent as a "profit" for the crown.

Nobody is more unpopular than Andrew

The least popular is the "Sun" according to Prince Andrew (60). 80 percent describe the Queen's son, who had to resign from his public duties at the end of 2019 because of his connections to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein (1953-2019) as a "burden" for the crown. The Queen, however, continues to enjoy great popularity. 81 percent say it is an asset to the country. Prince William (38) and his wife Duchess Kate (38) and heir to the throne Prince Charles (71) follow behind her.
