Prince Harry refuses to attend meetings and rehearsals to unveil the Diana statue, giving Prince William and the palace staff a real headache.

Prince Harry, 36, is currently in London to honor his late mother Princess Diana, † 36, next Thursday (July 1, 2021). Together with his brother Prince William, 39, he wants to take part in the unveiling of the Diana statue, but working together is already difficult.

Prince Harry refuses to cooperate with Prince William

Kensington Palace is preparing to honor Princess Diana on the occasion of her 60th birthday, but Prince Harry refuses to cooperate, Palace insiders told RadarOnline. The event is to take place in the Sunken Garden of Kensington Palace and preparations are in full swing. The ceremony will be smaller than originally planned due to pandemic restrictions in the UK, but will continue to be televised worldwide.

Prince Harry gives palace a headache

The Palast staff are working hard to ensure that the event runs smoothly, but Prince Harry gives everyone involved a headache. “Harry refuses to attend meetings or dress rehearsals and consistently refuses to show those responsible for the event his speech in advance. Nobody knows exactly what he will say,” the source said. “Harry seems to want to make his appearance on the spur of the moment. Just show up and see what happens. The palace doesn’t even know what outfit Harry wants to wear.”

Prince Harry wants a spontaneous appearance, but Prince William plans every little detail

In contrast to his brother, who thought through and planned the event down to the smallest detail, Harry wants to keep his appearance spontaneously: “William makes sure that everything is perfect. He wants to make his mother proud.” The quarreling brothers Harry and William will meet for the first time since the funeral of their grandfather Prince Philip, † 99, in April. After the event, Harry wants to leave Great Britain immediately to return to the USA to live with Duchess Meghan, 39, and the children.

The statue will be placed in Kensington Palace’s Sunken Garden and the princes hope it will “help all visitors ponder their mother’s life and legacy,” according to a statement by the brothers released in August 2020. The joint – and partly unplanned – appearance of the two brothers remains exciting.
