Prince Harry: He's missing that especially now

Prince Harry is said to have been a big rugby fan all his life. No wonder that he is currently particularly lacking in sport.

Prince Harry (35) is known for his great love of rugby. How much he currently misses the sport, the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II (94) now made clear in a video that he recorded in his adopted home California. He moved to Los Angeles in spring with his wife, Duchess Meghan (38) and their son Archie (1).

"We all miss rugby," says Harry in the video, which is shown, among other things, on the side of the English Rugby Union team. The 35-year-old can be seen – suntanned – outside the villa in which he currently lives with his family. Rugby has not been played in the UK since mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the Duke of Sussex said the corona lockdown could not take away their "spirit".

On the go with the rugby team

The video is part of a campaign to help English rugby teams support their communities by organizing charity events or providing food to people in need in the Corona crisis. Harry is the Honorary President of the English Rugby Association and traveled to Yokohama, Japan, among others, in November 2019 to cheer on the team for the World Cup final against South Africa. At that time, however, a victory did not emerge for the English.
