Prince Harry: His wedding ring goes against his family tradition
On Sunday, February 13, 2022, the Super Bowl took place in California – a sporting event that is also considered a celebrity magnet. Prince Harry, 37, also attended as a VIP guest, accompanied by his cousin Princess Eugenie, 31. Comedian Cedric the Entertainer, 57, now shares a series of snaps from the evening on his Instagram profile. In the penultimate photo of the series, he can be seen shaking hands with Prince Harry.
Clearly visible: the prince’s wedding ring. It is also noticeable that the ring is not made of Welsh gold, as is the tradition in the royal family. Instead, the piece of jewelry is made of platinum. This is confirmed by the court jeweler “Cleve and Company”, who made the wedding rings of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, 40: “Prince Harry’s ring [ist] made of platinum with a structured surface.”
Duchess Meghan’s wedding ring, on the other hand, is in line with family tradition: “Mrs. Markle’s ring was made from a piece of Welsh gold that was given to her by the Queen.” Welsh gold is also used in the wedding rings of Princess Diana, † 36, and Duchess Catherine, 40. His brother Prince Felix, 19, now seems to want to follow in his big brother’s footsteps: the son of Joachim zu Denmark and Alexandra von Frederiksborg has recently been in front of the camera for the Danish jewelry label Georg Jensen.
