Prince Harry accused his family of lacking empathy in his documentary. Reconciliation seems to be a long way off.

Prince Harry (36) spoke about his serious psychological problems in the new documentary series “The Me You Can’t See” on Apple +, which was created together with Oprah Winfrey (67). The death of his mother Diana in 1997, when he was 12 at the time, naturally had a massive impact on him. But he did not grow up in an environment in which something like that could be talked about. On the contrary, it was even more likely to have been suppressed. Some family members said he should just carry on as before.

His wife Meghan (39) also received no help from his family with regard to her depression. After the Oprah interview, with which Prince Harry actually wanted to initiate “reconciliation and healing”, and the renewed allegations in the documentary, there is a “great gap between the Royal Family and the Sussexes,” explains Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams (71) the British “The Sun”.

“The Royal Family sees a very, very big problem with the way the Sussexes address their misfortunes. They are deeply personal and address everything publicly.” Queen Elizabeth II (95) urged that the problems should be treated privately as a family. “Meghan and Harry don’t seem to pay any attention to that. They’re unpredictable, you never know what’s next,” Fitzwilliams emphasizes. Phil Dampier, Royals Biographer, said the “Sun”: “Charles and William will be upset. We have to respect Harry’s sanity, of course, but one wonders: When does he stop?” The biographer strongly doubts that Harry will be present at the unveiling of a memorial statue for Princess Diana (1961-1997) next to his brother William (38) on July 1st.
