Prince Harry
Emotionally! Touching words about George and Charlotte
Is that the guilt talking? Prince Harry also comments on his niece Princess Charlotte and his nephew Prince George in his memoirs.
Prince Harry wanted to give these tips to his nephew
With moving lines, Prince William’s brother, 41, gives emotional insights into his emotional state at the time.
I was an uncle. Willy and Kate had had their first child, George, and he was beautiful. I couldn’t wait to teach him about rugby and Rorke’s Drift, flying and corridor cricket – and maybe give him a few tips on surviving life in a fishbowl.
Plans that Prince Harry had to put on hold (for now) by moving to California. He rarely sees his nephew anymore.
“I leave the rest to the parents.”
Statements from the time of George’s birth also confirm the joy and euphoria that Harry brought to his new role as uncle. At an event, Harry described the moment he held his nephew in his arms for the first time: “When I [Prinz George] saw, he cried, like all babies do, but it’s fantastic to have a new member of the family. I hope my brother knows how expensive my babysitting fees will be.”
Harry told the reporter that his job as an uncle was “to make sure he has a good upbringing, to keep him out of harm’s way and to make sure he has fun. I leave the rest to the parents.”
Harry also became emotional at the birth of Princess Charlotte
In May 2015, Harry became an uncle for the second time with the birth of his niece, Princess Charlotte, 8. In “Spare” he also describes this moment, remembering exactly where he was at the time of her birth: “I traveled to Australia to take part in a military exercise and while I was there I learned that Willy and Kate had their second child had gotten. Charlotte. I was an uncle again, and I was very happy about it.”
Five-year-old Louis made Princess Diana’s youngest son, †36, an uncle for a third time in April 2018.
