Prince Harry attends charity event without Meghan – for this reason
Prince Harry, 40, was actually on the guest list for this year’s charity concert “One805LIVE!” together with his wife Duchess Meghan, 43. But the former senior royal appeared without his wife. As a source explained to “Mirror”, Meghan had to cancel the event at short notice. “We all hoped that Meghan would attend like last year, but they said she was ill and couldn’t come,” the insider told the British magazine.
Prince Harry was therefore on his own. The 40-year-old was not only invited as a guest, but also took the stage to give a special speech. Prince William’s brother, 42, gave a eulogy for the evening’s guest of honor, pilot Loren Courtney. “As you’ve probably heard, he has served over 10,000 hours in the military for 22 years and rarely sees his family because he’s always here flying helicopters,” Harry introduced Courtney to the audience. The prince impressed with his balance between humor and seriousness. The concert raises money for the local fire department and police every year. The proceeds are invested in both equipment and psychological care for the officers.

Cuddle alert in the football stadium! Prince Albert, 66, gives his niece Princess Alexandra, 25, a very warm welcome. Sport has always connected the two. At the Olympic Games in Paris, the daughter of Caroline of Hanover, 67, and the regent took part in several competitions together. Now they have their fingers crossed for the football club AS Monaco – with success! The team won 2:1 against FC Barcelona in the Champions League on Thursday, September 19th.

For around four years now, Prince Harry, 40, and Duchess Meghan, 43, have been enjoying the benefits of their secluded life in Montecito, California – far away from the hustle and bustle of the British royal family. A neighbor now chats about the royal couple in the “Montecito Journal” and wonders about their choice of place of residence. “It’s surprising that they came here,” says 88-year-old Frank McGinity, who lives a stone’s throw from the Sussexes. The reason: “The people are usually older. The elephants come here to die.”
But it is probably precisely this peace and quiet that King Charles’ son, 75, and his family love about their adopted home. Because they obviously show no great interest in becoming friends with the community. “We don’t see them here very often,” says the US Navy veteran. “They have no interest” in being neighbors, he says. Queen Mary: Revealed! Her Christmas stamp will be extra special this year
As patron of the Julemærke Foundation, Queen Mary, 52, not only supports the values of the organization – Julemærke is committed to combating bullying among children, among other things – but is also allowed to help design the traditional Christmas stamps. On its website, the foundation now announces that stamp fans can look forward to a royal premiere in 2024: For the first time, Queen Mary and King Frederik, 56, will adorn the small work of art.
The Danish royal couple is thus following a tradition that has existed since 1907: after each proclamation, the new royal couple decorates the Christmas stamp on the first December since their inauguration. Queen Margrethe, 84, abdicated in January 2024, so this year’s Christmas is the first that Mary and Frederik will be able to celebrate as royal couple.

The stamp was designed by the artist Niels Ditlev and is intended to be a tribute to Mary, Frederik and Denmark. The foundation announces: “A story about the Kingdom of Denmark and our history will be told in a spectacular way.” The stamp will be available from October 10th, and one sheet will cost 95 Danish kroner, the equivalent of around 13 euros. The design of the stamp is further described: “Together with a portrait of the royal couple, the stamp shows a variety of national symbols from the past and present. Symbols that connect us as a nation and form the framework for our community.”

They have both just finished their studies! Count Nikolai, 25, received his certificate from the Copenhagen Business School in mid-June and now his girlfriend Benedikte Thoustrup has also finished her master’s degree at the same school. But what will happen next for the two of them? While Prince Joachim’s son, 55, told GQ in May that he was looking for “flexibility” after his studies, his girlfriend seems to have more specific ideas, at least as far as where he would like to live.
In an interview with the fashion website “MinMote” she made it clear that she would like to live in either Sydney or Copenhagen. She also has very specific ideas about her career, as she wants to get a foothold in the fashion industry. An area that she has learned to love through her partner, as she notes. Whether the two will find happiness in Sydney or Copenhagen remains to be seen – at best they can agree on a place that suits the 25-year-old’s “flexibility”.
Queen Margrethe: Rare statement about her private life since abdication
In January 2024, Queen Margrethe officially stepped down as monarch of Denmark and handed over responsibility for the crown to her son King Frederik. However, Margrethe has not completely withdrawn. She still attends public events. On September 16, she beamed at the Rungstedlund Prize award ceremony at the Karen Blixen Museum. During her stay, the 84-year-old gave a minimal insight into her new life.
When asked how her current “life is now”, Queen Margrethe responded with a broad smile and the words: “It’s so beautiful!” You can see that in the former monarch. The abdication seems to suit her. The 84-year-old announced her drastic step of handing over the throne during her New Year’s address on December 31, 2023. 15 days later, the change came into effect. Margrethe explained to the people: “In fourteen days I will be Queen of Denmark for 52 years. Such a long time leaves no trace on anyone – not even on me! Time wears out and the “bad days” become more frequent. You can no longer overcome the same things as before. […] I decided that now is the right time.” Her latest appearance has proven that she has indeed chosen the right time – and can enjoy her life away from obligations.

Prince Harry suddenly in London? Waxy appearance surprises fans
On the weekend of his 40th birthday, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, 43, were spotted at a charity event in Los Angeles. So how did the Duke of Sussex manage to be in a London pub at roughly the same time as his loved ones? Fans have been able to observe this phenomenon in recent days. And the answer to the question is quite simple: not at all! The fact that the couple suddenly found themselves in “The Prince Harry” pub is thanks to the employees of the wax museum “Madame Tussauds” in London.
The museum loaned two of their figures, which they had modelled on the Sussexes, to the pub that bears the birthday boy’s name in honour of Harry’s 40th birthday. And so Harry and Meghan managed to mingle with countless visitors to the bar over the weekend, while at the same time being out and about in Los Angeles for a good cause. A real feat that sometimes only royals can pull off…
Prince Harry: He receives public congratulations from Ignacio Figueras
On September 15, Prince Harry celebrated his 40th birthday. In addition to the surprising and public congratulations from King Charles, 75, Queen Camilla, 77, Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, both 42, the Duke of Sussex can look forward to further congratulations on social media: His long-time confidant and close friend Ignacio Figueras, 47, shared a photo late Sunday evening showing him and Harry arm in arm after a polo tournament. “Nacho” has put his left arm around the birthday boy, Harry turns his face towards him and laughs broadly. “Happy 40th. [Geburtstag]”Brother,” the professional polo player captioned the photo, “from the polo fields to all the moments in between, I am grateful for the bond we share. Here’s to many more fun moments, memories and good times ahead. I love you.”
The two men share a close friendship, and Figueras has been congratulating the royal on his birthday on Instagram for years. The 47-year-old also likes to post photos with Prince Harry on other occasions, such as Father’s Day or polo tournaments in which the two took part together. The only detail that is irritating about the current birthday greeting is that Figueras does not use a current photo to congratulate his friend, quite the opposite: On May 31, 2022, “Nacho” posted exactly the same photo with Harry. Whether he ran out of private photos or whether he found this photo so beautiful remains his secret for now.
