Prince Harry has announced his autobiography for 2022. Then the Queen’s jubilee is due. Will the royals party together?
Prince Harry (36) has announced his memoirs for the coming year. According to British media reports, this is causing unrest in the royal family. The Duke of Sussex’s book is not intended to be a reckoning with his family. This is reported by “Page Six”, the celebrity site of the “New York Post”, now.
The book, which Harry has reportedly been writing for almost a year, is expected to be out in late 2022. A spokesman for the 36-year-old said the British newspaper “The Daily Telegraph”that Harry had not asked Buckingham Palace for permission. But he had only “recently” talked about it in private with his family. According to media reports, Queen Elizabeth II (95) and Prince Charles (72) were “surprised” by the announcement of the book.
Harry doesn’t want to “hurt” anyone
According to “Page Six”, the Queen’s grandson only wanted to tell “his truth” in his memoir. Citing anonymous sources, the report said Harry was not writing the book to intentionally harm his family, including his brother Prince William, 39, and father Prince Charles. He sees the project as an opportunity to “reflect on your life and correct misinformation”.
Experts and those in the royal family who are close to Harry apparently see it differently. Harry’s cousins Princess Eugenie (31) and Zara Tindall (40) are said to be not very enthusiastic about the book project.
Are the Sussexes coming to the throne jubilee?
The Daily Mail also reported that Prince Charles is allegedly also concerned about what Harry writes about his stepmother, Duchess Camilla (74). The two are rumored to be not very close. There are also fears in the palace that Harry’s book could overshadow the Queen’s 70th anniversary of the throne in the coming year. Harry, his wife Duchess Meghan (39) and the couple’s children, Archie (2) and Lilibet, who was born in June, are expected at the celebrations.
Although the book will probably only appear months after the throne celebrations, there is already speculation whether Harry and Meghan, who have been living in California since spring 2020, will even be welcome. According to the Daily Mail, some insiders are already predictingthat the invitation to the Sussexes to show themselves with the Royals on the balcony of Buckingham Palace could be withdrawn …
