The relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry does not seem to be improving. Not even when it comes to her beloved mother, Princess Diana. The brothers are reportedly to give separate speeches at the unveiling of Diana’s statue in July.

There was a glimmer of hope when Prince William (38) and Prince Harry (36) strolled to Windsor Castle with Duchess Catherine (39) after their grandfather’s funeral. In those minutes, the argument of the past few months seemed to have been forgotten. At least for outsiders. Because the relationship between the brothers is still under scrutiny.

Reconciliation “seems a long way off at the moment”

As reported by the British media, Harry and William will hold separate speeches at the unveiling of the new statue for Princess Diana († 36), which will be unveiled on the occasion of her 60th birthday (July 1, 2021) in front of Kensington Palace. “You would have thought that they would agree on a joint statement and speech, but that’s not the case. Everyone insisted on preparing their own,” a source told The Sun.

Nevertheless, it is an important day for the brothers. “They’ll both move heaven and earth to be there. They commissioned the statue together. It’s very important to them,” the anonymous source continued. “There is of course hope that remembering Diana can fix their relationship, but that seems a long way off at the moment.”

Prince Harry flies to England alone

Prince Harry is supposed to fly back to his homeland for this special occasion, Duchess Meghan (39) – it is believed – will not be able to accompany her husband due to her pregnancy. For this reason, the Duchess of Sussex was absent from the funeral service of Prince Philip († 99). It is also uncertain whether Queen Elizabeth (95) will take part in the celebrations.
