After a brief daze, Harry ordered his brother out of the house. William had asked him to fight back calmly. But Harry asked him again to leave. The heir to the throne then left the room, but stayed in the living room for a while, only to pause briefly on his way to the front door: “You don’t have to tell Meg anything about this.”

Harry promised – but his soul needed help. His wife, the person he trusted most, was not allowed to know anything about the quarrel, which had escalated beyond measure. “I looked at my phone. “The therapist instructed me to take deep breaths. She asked me to describe the scene several times. Each time it seemed like a bad dream.” Nevertheless, his psychologist’s strategy apparently had an effect. “Each time I got a little calmer,” Harry said. He was proud not to have hit his brother back, he told her.
