Desperate hunt for a new TV deal – and this high-profile star should help him

Everything hasn’t been going smoothly in the promising Hollywood in the last few months. After a promising start in the podcast and TV business, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are now experiencing a bitter streak of bad luck. Even the staff is running away from them – once again. But now there is apparently a saving angel in sight – and he is no stranger to the industry.

With this loss, Prince Harry, 39, and Duchess Meghan, 42, not counted: The manager of her company “Archewell Productions”, Bennett Levine, threw the chunks down in January 2023. He quit, leaving behind two perplexed royals. Her top man was only promoted in June 2022 and previously worked as a coordinator in the Sussexes’ company. He is not the first person to have changed his mind. The signs point to a storm, not least because the busy couple’s Netflix deal expires next year and may not be continued. The son of King Charles, 75, seems to be under a lot of pressure, but now he has a big fish on the hook that might be able to help him out of trouble.

Prince Harry grabs top TV manager

The Duke of Sussex has hired TV boss Scott Moore as the new CEO of his Invictus Games in Vancouver in winter 2025. The TV veteran could become a key figure in Harry’s possible hunt for a new TV deal. After all, the newcomer has a lot to show for himself: He is considered an expert in major sports TV deals and has already managed the live coverage of the FIFA World Cup as well as the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Not a bad move, because the royal apparently needs an experienced partner at his side to arrange a lucrative TV deal for his passion project. Harry’s efforts could well pay off, says PR expert Jane Owen: “I think it would be a brilliant move for him to make the most of his position and his relationship with the Invictus Games. It’s a great project to talk about “There’s a lot he knows and has a real passion for,” she tells the Mirror, explaining: “The Games have a remarkable track record and given the global passion for sport and competition, there is a guaranteed audience for the Games “If they are broadcast at a high level. The potential for the project is huge and I think it would be the perfect role for Harry and the logical next step for the Games.”

Invictus Games could tell stories

The Invictus Games are an international sporting event initiated by the Royal in 2014 for soldiers from all over the world who were injured in action or service or who have suffered permanent physical and mental impairments due to illnesses. Last year they took place in Düsseldorf from September 9th to 16th, 2023. Before that, the athletes with a military background competed against each other in sporting competitions in London, Orlando, Toronto, Sidney and The Hague.

“I’m sure there are some amazing personal stories from the athletes taking part in the Games,” enthuses Owen, encouraging Harry: “The fact that they are wounded veterans is very inspiring. It wouldn’t be me surprise if there are some real life stories that would be great for movies. I would be shocked if there weren’t. This would be a great way to bring together Harry’s passion for the games and his wife’s passion for entertainment. “

Harry will fly to Vancouver and Whistler with Meghan next week to attend the “One year to go” countdown event on February 14th. The first Invictus Games of the winter will take place from February 8th to 16th.
