Surprise for the audience of the BBC dance show "Strictly Come Dancing": Before the performance of candidate JJ Chalmers (33), Prince Harry (36) suddenly appeared on the screen on Saturday evening (November 14th) to his friend via video switch from Los Angeles Wish good luck. Chalmers is an Army veteran who participated in the 2014 Invictus Games, founded by Prince Harry.
The former soldier was injured in a bomb explosion in Afghanistan in 2011 and lost two fingers and his elbow. "When I first met JJ, he was a shell of himself," said Prince Harry in the video call. "Seeing him shine again through Invictus was a wonderful time and an amazing journey." The prince is "so immensely proud" that he is now in this position. "You're not a dancer and it shows that if you really believe in it, you can do anything and that's amazing."
BBC appearance despite anger about Diana interview
However, Royal-Insider is surprised that Harry can be seen on the BBC right now. The station has been criticized for some time for the legendary 1995 interview with Harry's late mother Princess Diana (1961-1997). Millions of people watched the TV broadcast back then, and the conversation was considered the "scoop of the century". It shook the British royal family lastingly.

A Royal insider told The Times about Harry's TV visit that the timing was a bit surprising: "'Strictly Come Dancing' is the BBC's figurehead (…) of all the weeks he's been with the Sender could have done if it wasn't this one. " A spokesman for the Duke of Sussex confirmed that Harry was aware of the matter with the Diana interview, but he had known JJ Chalmers for a long time. "They've been in contact since the show started and Harry was dying to show his support for his friend so they recorded it together earlier this week."
