Today, September 15th, Prince Harry can not only celebrate his 40th birthday, but also a large financial injection. As has been reported repeatedly in the British media in recent weeks, his great-grandmother Queen Mum (1900-2002) once looked after her descendants and secured them with a trust fund. From this, Prince Harry is now to receive around eight million British pounds on his special day, the equivalent of around 6.75 million euros. As the New York Post reports on the birthday of King Charles’ youngest son (75)he will probably accept this inheritance.

Doubts have recently been raised that Harry might be able to forego the royal millions for reasons of decency, as he is no longer a working member of the Royal Family. All nonsense, confirmed former royal butler Grand Harrold: “I have no doubt at all that Harry will accept the money.” It is a fortune that is legally his and a flawless, proper inheritance that has been set aside for him for years.

At 21, Harry received more than his brother William

In 1994, the mother of the late Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) is said to have set aside two thirds of her fortune for her great-grandchildren, around 19 million pounds at the time according to media reports. At the age of 21, around six million pounds were distributed to Harry and his brother Prince William (42). Allegedly, significantly more was paid to Harry than to William at the time – as compensation for the fact that heir to the throne William will one day become king. Princess Anne’s (74) children Zara Tindall (43) and Peter Phillips (46) as well as Prince Andrew’s (64) daughters Beatrice (36) and Eugenie (34) were also given generous sums from the fund.

According to royal expert Hugo Vickers, the payment comes at just the right time for Harry and his wife, Duchess Meghan (43). He told the British tabloid newspaper “The Sun”: “No doubt that would help because I think he leads a very expensive lifestyle.” The couple has a huge staff and a large house in Montecito.
