Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown revisits the franchise with metroidvania sauce

This action-adventure game uses a metroidvania formula to make people forget that the Sands of Time remake started from scratch at Ubisoft Montreal and is therefore not ready to take shape in our machines. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crownon the other hand, should be available from January 18 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Switch, Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store.

The game features Sargon, a young elite warrior sent to rescue Prince Ghassan in a world inspired by Persian mythology. This is not the case with the musical choice of this trailer, all the more surprising since the music for the game is the work of Mentrix, a composer of Iranian origin who will use traditional instruments, and the illustrious Gareth Coker (both Ori) for boss fights.

Thanks to new time powers and unique abilities that he can combine during battles, Sargon will gradually discover the secrets of Mount Qaf, solving puzzles and completing exciting side quests. “Explains Ubisoft in its press release, while promising to show more Monday evening during its Ubisoft Forward program.
