Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown shows up at Summer Game Fest

The Summer Game Fest is officially launched, and it’s a title from Ubisoft that opens the ball. While the remake of Sands of Time is long overdue, the license returns with Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. A new title planned on all consoles for the beginning of 2024. Mixing action-adventure, the series returns to the basics of platformer with 2D.

The trailer is not stingy with information, presenting both the basis of the story and the gameplay. Different characters are presented there, including the hero of our adventure, a warrior fighting with two blades. The fight resumes in the heart of the Persian world, with mythical creatures and mysterious events. The perfect opportunity to go and slaughter all these fantastic creatures.

The title is developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and is inspired by Metroidvania in its structure. It is therefore not excluded that the protagonist benefits from new skills throughout the adventure, which will allow him to retrace his steps. However, it is better to wait for a little more information to confirm this.

But even if Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has already revealed a lot of information, there is no doubt that Ubisoft will come back to it during its own conference. We will not discover its release date, already announced for January 18, 2024 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series, Nintendo Switch. A segment should be devoted to it to explore the game mechanics and its history a little more extensively.
