Prince Philip: A dinner with the Queen is enough for his birthday

In a week, on June 10th, Prince Philip is celebrating his 99th birthday. However, there will not be a big birthday party: The prince consort of Queen Elizabeth II (94) traditionally does not cause a great stir around his special day. "No fuzz, no bother" has been his birthday motto for a long time, so "no fuss, no effort". Since the couple has been in quarantine at Windsor Castle since Easter, no further celebration is planned apart from lunch, as the British "Mail Online" reports.

It doesn't work without it

However, Prince Philip still has a few birthday dates on the program. Video calls with family and friends are planned, including Prince Charles (71) from Scotland and his children, Prince William (37) and Harry (35) together with their wives and great-grandchildren. In addition, Buckingham Palace hopes to at least "be able to honor the birthday in a small way" depending on "how his royal highness feels".
