Prince Philips’ death certificate reveals no single illness or injury was to blame for his death in the past month.

Prince Philip (1921-2021) died on April 9th ​​at the age of 99 of “old age”, as his official death certificate now reveals. That would according to “The Daily Telegraph” Confirmed by Sir Huw Thomas, Chief of the Royal Medical Staff.

The diagnosis “old age” is therefore accepted if the patient is over 80 years old and the doctor has looked after the patient personally over a long period of time and has observed a gradual decline. It also suggests that there was no other identifiable illness or injury that resulted in death. This apparently also applies to the heart condition that forced the royal to undergo surgery just weeks before his death.

In mid-March, the Queen’s husband returned home after spending a month in two London clinics. In mid-February, the 99-year-old was admitted to a private clinic in London and transferred to St Bartholomew’s Hospital a few days later for a heart operation. He was then taken back to King Edward VII’s Hospital.

The Duke of Edinburgh “died peacefully at Windsor Castle on the morning of April 9,” said an official statement from the British royal family on the death of the Prince Consort.
