The Queen seems to want a closed appearance from the Royal Family. Uniforms are allegedly forbidden at the funeral service.

Who wears what at the funeral service for Prince Philip (1921-2021)? Queen Elizabeth II (94) is said to have made the decision easy for the guests, including all members of the Royal Family. As reported by the British Daily Mail, the monarch spoke a word of power. Military uniforms are therefore prohibited – for everyone.

The concern that Prince Harry (36) could be shown is allegedly too big. After he had to give up his military honorary title due to his resignation as Senior Royal, the 36-year-old is no longer allowed to adorn himself with medals that he received as part of his previous duties.

Simple and uniform

In order to present a uniform family front on Saturday (April 17th), the dress code for the funeral service should therefore be as follows: All men are expected in cutaways, a formal item of clothing similar to a tailcoat, combined with a black tie. Meanwhile, the ladies are asked to wear simple, black outfits.
