The funeral service for Prince Philip will take place in London on April 17th. Ross Antony reports live from the British capital for Sat.1.

Not only in Great Britain will we say goodbye on Saturday. The TV audience in Germany also has the chance to watch the funeral ceremony for Prince Philip (1921-2021) on screen. Sat.1 will show the program “Farewell to Prince Philip – SAT.1 Spezial” live on April 17th from 2:30 pm. Queen Elizabeth II’s husband (94) died on the morning of April 9 at the age of 99 at Windsor Castle.

Sat.1 nobility expert Vanessa Blumhagen (43) and presenter Daniel Boschmann (40) comment on events in Great Britain for three and a half hours. They also welcome Lilly Becker (44), who lives in London, to the studio. Meanwhile, singer and actor Ross Antony (46) is on site in the British capital and reports. The funeral will begin at 3 p.m. with a minute’s silence.

ZDF and RTL are also changing the program

In addition to Sat.1, ZDF and RTL will also accompany the ceremony for the deceased Prince Consort. While Frauke Ludowig (57) and aristocracy expert Michael Begasse (55) report from the studio for RTL, Katharina Delling and Ulrich Oppold join live from London and Windsor. Julia Melchior and Norbert Lehmann (61) do the reporting for ZDF, Diana Zimmermann (50) and Andreas Stamm (born 1976) report live from the ZDF studio in London.
