Husband, supporter, globetrotter: Prince Philip’s commitment was great. The Queen is now remembering this with pictures of his many trips.
Queen Elizabeth II (94) has not only lost her husband with Prince Philip (1921-2021), but also a loyal supporter of the crown. With quite a few The British monarch remembers her great commitment with pictures on Instagram of the deceased Prince Consort, which he always showed when traveling. She summarizes: The Duke of Edinburgh has seen 70 percent of all countries in the world since 1949, visited 50 Commonwealth countries and made a total of 229 individual visits “to the most remote parts of the Commonwealth”.
In addition, Prince Philip enjoyed military affiliations in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Trinidad and Tobago and held patronage in a total of twelve Commonwealth countries. The published pictures show the Prince Consort on various trips, always surrounded by people with a smile on their face – just like himself. He died on the morning of April 9 at the age of 99 at Windsor Castle. He and Queen Elizabeth II were married for a full 73 years.
