The funeral service for Prince Philip takes place on a small scale. These 30 people will be there on Saturday at St. George’s Chapel.

On Saturday, April 17th, the Royal Family will bid farewell to Prince Philip (1921-2021). A total of 30 guests are allowed to attend the funeral service for the deceased husband of Queen Elizabeth II (94). Who will that be? The palace has now published a list of all those persons who will personally pay their last respects to the Duke of Edinburgh.

Much of the royal family

In addition to the British monarch, the couple’s children and their partners are expected: Prince Charles (72) and Duchess Camilla (73), Princess Anne (70), Prince Andrew (61) and Prince Edward (57) and Sophie von Wessex (56) . The latter are accompanied by their children Louise (17) and James (13). Prince Andrew’s daughters, Princess Beatrice (32) with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi (38) and Princess Eugenie (31) with husband Jack Brooksbank (34) also say goodbye. Prince William (38) and Duchess Kate (39) and Prince Harry (36) appear without children. Harry’s pregnant wife, Duchess Meghan (39), did not arrive. She stayed in the USA with her son Archie (1).

Peter Phillips (43) and Zara Tindall (39) with husband Mike Tindall (42) are also among the mourners. They are the children of Princess Anne. The children of the late Princess Margaret (1930-2002), David Armstrong-Jones (59), Sarah Chatto (56) and husband Daniel (63) also come. As well as Queen cousin Prince Richard (76), the Duke of Kent (85), Princess Alexandra (84), Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence (66) and Countess Mountbatten of Burma (67), the coach driver and close friend of the Duke.

Three relatives from Germany expected

According to the “Daily Mail”, three German aristocrats are also who published the list of guests mourned the Queen’s spouse on site: Prince Philipp von Hohenlohe-Langenburg (51), grandson of Prince Philips’ sister Margarita (1905-1981), Hereditary Prince Bernhard von Baden (50), grandson of Sister Theodora (1906-1969) , and Prince Donatus, Landgrave of Hesse (54), a cousin of the Duke of Edinburgh.
