A few days ago, the Norwegian royal family celebrated Prince Sverre Magnus’ 18th birthday. His confidante, ex-model Rosario Nadal, was also there.

A new phase of life began for Prince Sverre Magnus on December 3, 2023. Since last Sunday, the son of Prince Haakon, 50, and Princess Mette-Marit, 50, has come of age and is considered an adult under Norwegian law. The royal family kicked off the birthday weekend on December 1st with a festive lunch at the Royal Palace in Oslo. A person who plays an important role in Sverre Magnus’ life also appeared at the lunch that Queen Sonja, 86, and King Harald, 86, hosted for their grandson: Rosario Nadal, 55.

Aristocrat Rosario Nadal was also able to count herself among the select circle of birthday guests. The Spanish art director and estranged wife of Kyril von Preslav, 58, a member of the former Bulgarian royal family, is the godmother of Prince Sverre Magnus. She used to work as a model and was considered the muse of designer Valentino Garavani, 91. This connection between the former royal family of Bulgaria and the Norwegian royals was probably not known to some people.

Other godparents of Sverre Magnus are Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, 52, Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece, 56, Espen Høiby, Bjørn Stensland and wife Marianne Gjellestad.

Rosario Nadal is not only a friend of the Norwegian royal family, but also has close ties to the Spanish one. She is a confidante of King Felipe, 55, sister Infanta Cristina, 58, and godmother to her daughter Irene Urdangarín, 18.
