Prince William explains that he is proud of his already vaccinated grandparents Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.

Both Queen Elizabeth II (94) and Prince Philip (99) recently got vaccinated against the coronavirus. Her grandson Prince William (38) is very proud of that, as he has now revealed in a video conference from which excerpts were published on Instagram. In it, William talks to health workers who are fighting the pandemic in the UK.

He praises the "incredible work"

The prince emphasized the importance of vaccinations against the virus. "My grandparents got the vaccine and I'm very proud of them for getting the vaccine," he said. The 38-year-old thanked in an accompanying comment for the "unbelievable work" that employees and volunteers are currently doing to "ensure that the most vulnerable people in our society are protected from the coronavirus". Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip are also at risk because of their advanced age.

An "effective vaccine" is the best way to protect people from the virus and the associated Covid 19 disease. Everyone plays an important role in the fight against the pandemic and in "protecting our loved ones and the health system".
