Prince William and Duchess Kate apparently had a great time at the racecourse on the fourth day of Royal Ascot.

Prince William (39) and Duchess Kate (40) showed up in stylish looks at Royal Ascot on Friday (June 17). The couple drove, among other things, in a carriage on the fourth day of the legendary horse race, which is held every year on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II (96). The excitement was written all over their faces.

Kate appeared in a white polka dot dress with brown dots and long sleeves by Alessandra Rich. She also wore a brown fascinator with white flowers and a pair of fine pearl earrings. Her brunette hair was styled in an elegant bun.

Kate goes for the Diana look

Kate may have found inspiration for her elegant look from that of Princess Diana (1961-1997) from 1986. The mother of Prince William and Prince Harry (37) wore a similar polka-dot dress with shoulder pads and blue dots at another horse race at the time, along with a matching hat and teardrop-shaped pearl earrings.

Prince William attended Friday’s horse race in the black wreck. Underneath he wore a white shirt, a gray waistcoat and a blue tie. The black top hat could not be missing either. Williams’ cousin Peter Phillips (44) and his partner Lindsay Wallace took a seat in the carriage behind the two.

Is the Queen coming on Saturday?

The Queen was not seen at the horse race on Friday either. No wonder, because one of the big topics of conversation at the circuit was the sweltering heat in Great Britain at the moment. After all, the royals have now relaxed their strict dress code, so that hats and jackets can be removed as required. Speculation continues as to whether the monarch will show up at Ascot on Saturday.
