Prince William and Duchess Kate: Royale Time Out: Family Vacation in the Isles of Scilly

Vacation in England! The Royals cannot miss that either. Prince William and Duchess Kate were on vacation with the children.

Royals also need a break every now and then. And so, Prince William (38) and Duchess Kate (38) spent the halfterm vacation with their three children on vacation. For this, the family didn't choose a pompous luxury hotel, but a modest cottage on the Scilly Isles, an archipelago just outside Cornwall.

According to the British "The Sun", the five royals are said to have stayed in a picturesque stone house with four bedrooms. The weather was cloudy most of the time, but according to the locals, they enjoyed it very much. One vacationer is said to have seen the family and reported: "At first we hardly noticed that they appeared to be a normal family on vacation who were careful to stay to themselves." Kate and William had already traveled to the archipelago with Prince George (7), Princess Charlotte (5) and Prince Louis (2) in July.

The Isles of Scilly are 40 kilometers from Cornwall, only about five of the 140 islands are inhabited – with a total population of around 2,150 people. Most of the land and a third of the houses are owned by Prince Charles, 70, the Duke of Cornwall. Even in their childhood, the brothers William and Harry (36) often visited there with their parents. Harry is now more on Californian luxury with his wife Meghan (39).
