As a stylish couple with an important message, Prince William and Duchess Kate present themselves at the first Earthshot Prize in London.
The Earthshot Prize was awarded for the first time in London on Sunday. The environmental award was launched through the Royal Foundation by Prince William (39) and Duchess Kate (39). The couple made a particularly impressive appearance at the event.
In keeping with the event for a better future, Prince William walked the green carpet in a green velvet jacket. Underneath, the royal wore a black turtleneck sweater. Duchess Kate chose a soft purple dress by designer Alexander McQueen for the occasion.

The event is to take place annually until 2030 and each will honor five winners, so that by then 50 solutions to the world’s biggest environmental problems such as air and garbage pollution will be found. The winners will each receive prize money of 1 million pounds (equivalent to around 1.2 million euros) to advance their ideas.
