Prince William and Prince Harry are holding a separate event for the Diana Prize winners.

Separate honors: Prince William (39) met the recipients of the Diana Award in person at Kensington Palace, while his brother Prince Harry (37) stayed in his adopted home of California and spoke to other award winners from around the world in a live video conference.

Award ceremony on December 9th

The actual award ceremony in Althorp House, hosted by Diana’s brother Earl Spencer (57), will take place on December 9th. This year’s winners – selected by an independent jury chaired by Earl Spencer – come from the United Kingdom, Taiwan, Colombia, Germany, India, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and the USA.

Charity “The Diana Award”

The Legacy Award was introduced in 2017 by the organization “The Diana Award” to honor the life of Princess Diana (1961-1997), mother of the princes, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of her death. It is awarded every two years, with William and Harry personally presenting the first awards in 2017 at St. James’s Palace.
