Prince William and Princess Kate: They should honor the life and legacy of the Queen

At the beginning of September it was a year since Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) died. British royals are expected to remember Britain’s longtime queen as part of the first death anniversary. As an anonymous source now the British tabloid “Daily Mirror” is said to have betrayedapparently her grandson, Prince William (41), and his wife, Princess Kate (41), will play the most important role.

William, first in line for the throne, and his wife will deliver a public message to the people honoring the legacy and life of the late Queen, according to the report. It is not yet clear how exactly the message will be distributed. One possibility would be the social media accounts of the royals. The Prince and Princess of Wales have alone on Instagram around 15 million followers.

Death of Queen Elizabeth II was “end of an era”

But you will probably not only remember the long reign of Elizabeth II, as it is also said. William and Kate apparently also want to look ahead. “Her Majesty’s death was an event that truly marked the end of an era,” a Royal insider is quoted as saying. “The royal family has been in transition since then and with the coronation and the end of the summer holidays, everyone will be excited to see what comes next.”

William’s father, King Charles III. (74), meanwhile, is said to be secretly paying tribute to his late mother – in Balmoral, Scotland. Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8, 2022 in the royal summer residence there. Individual members of the family could therefore attend public appointments around the anniversary. However, events in which the entire royal family participates are not planned.
