Prince William: Does the upcoming birthday cause him grief?

Prince William has two reasons to celebrate next Sunday (June 21). Not only is Father's Day celebrated in Great Britain, it is also the 38th birthday of Triple Father. However, there can hardly be any talk of great anticipation, as Royal expert Katie Nicholl now tells the "OK!" Magazine. The son of Prince Charles (71) and Lady Diana (1961-1997) is said to be plagued by grief.

The isolation worries him

Prince William would have told friends "that he loves spending so much time with his children during the lockdown," says Nicholl. The isolation at the Note Hall country estate in Norfolk is also associated with sadness. Prince William missed his father, who was in Scotland during the Corona crisis. "Charles and William have come a lot closer in the past few years," explains the journalist, who says the 37-year-old "has experienced something of a change of heart."

According to Nicholl's stories, Prince William used to be "overwhelmed" by the thought of becoming king one day. In the meantime, Duchess Kate's (38) husband is "more than ready for this and has found a common basis with his father". "Your fate is something that connects you now," says the Royal expert.

Mother Diana is still part of his life

But not only Prince Charles is missing the triple father. "William misses his mother. (…) She is still a significant part of his life," continues Nicholl. Therefore, his thoughts on Sunday would inevitably also be with Lady Diana, who died in a car accident in 1997.

Prince William kept the memory of his mother alive. "There are photos of her all over the house and he talks to the kids about her." Accordingly, Kate and he would tell their three children, Prince George (6), Princess Charlotte (5) and Prince Louis (2), stories about "how Diana helped people" and tell them "how much they loved their grandmother would have ".
