Exciting but also exhausting days lie behind Prince William and Duchess Catherine. Her Caribbean tour took her to Belize, Jamaica and the Bahamas. One appointment followed the next – but in between the Cambridges were allowed to indulge in luxury.

During their last stop in the Bahamas, Prince William, 37, and Duchess Catherine, 40, spent their short nights after a true marathon of appointments in a place that literally made the stressed-out royals dream. The couple had checked into a stunning penthouse that left nothing to be desired.

Prince William and Duchess Catherine experienced top-class Bahamian comfort

From March 24th to 26th, 2022, the Cambridges rested their royal heads on the soft pillows at the “Atlantis Bahamas Resort” as a representative of the plant to “People” confirmed. The high-ranking guests from Great Britain stayed in a suite at “The Cove”, one of a total of five hotels on the site.

The exceptional accommodation is touted as “immaculately designed to offer guests luxury, sensuality and superior Bahamian service”. The penthouse has several rooms, including a living room, a formal dining room, three bedrooms and a separate lounge and study – all of course equipped with a sensational view over the Caribbean Sea and of course with butler service.

Marble, artistic wallpaper and a cinematic bubble bath

The Cambridge suite is said to have covered around 4,830 square meters. The entrance is already stately: when opened, two large double doors reveal a view of noble stone floors, artistically wallpapered walls and floor-to-ceiling windows. The luxurious bathrooms are finished in marble and each has a freestanding bathtub mounted next to a glass wall.

Unfortunately, William and Catherine had little time to enjoy their incredible accommodations. While they took part in a sailing regatta in honor of Queen Elizabeth, 95, visited a coral farm in Grand Bahama and got a picture of the Abaco Islands devastated by Hurricane Dorian, the other guests of the resort probably cavorted with the two Beach sections belonging to the facility or occupied loungers at one of the four pools.

A warm welcome to your “second home” for a limited time

Audrey Oswell, President and CEO of Atlantis Paradise Island, greeted the royals upon their arrival at the resort and assured People shortly after meeting them how honored the couple’s visit was. “All of us at Atlantis Paradise Island are excited that our resort will serve as their second home during this very significant milestone,” said Oswell. “We have always admired the focus of the ‘Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’ as it aligns with our mission at the Atlantis Blue Project Foundation to promote sustainability and protect the environment.”

In addition, she pledged to provide the special overnight guests with a memorable time: “Our team members look forward to spreading the exceptional and authentic Bahamian hospitality and demonstrating through our unparalleled amenities and culture what makes our resort and the Bahamas so remarkable.”

William and Catherine didn’t have much time to enjoy the luxurious hospitality. It can (hopefully) be assumed that the two of them enjoyed the extraordinary comfort of their hostel after their many performances.
