Prince William knows how to win people’s hearts. The heir to the British throne seems to rely primarily on his sense of humor.
Prince William (40) is said to be over 1.90 meters tall. A circumstance that apparently did not go unnoticed when the British heir to the throne visited a cancer center. A man said to Prince William, according to the “Daily Mail”.: “You are a great guy”. The royal appeared to take the comment with humor, jokingly revealing, “I wear heels.”
William is following in his mother’s footsteps
The Prince of Wales attended the opening of a cancer center at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton. In 2007, Prince William became president of the organization that, among other things, runs the hospital. He followed in his mother’s footsteps. Princess Diana (1961-1997) also supported and attended the facility from 1989. In 1993 she opened a children’s cancer ward in the clinic.
The new center, now visited by William, offers 400 scientists a state-of-the-art research and treatment facility under one roof with the patients. The focus is on developing new treatments for cancer and detecting the disease at an early stage.
