Duchess Kate is currently in self-isolation. Prince William threw a planned tea party single-handedly.

Actually, Prince William and Duchess Kate (both 39) were supposed to host a tea party on the occasion of the 73rd birthday of the British National Health Service (NHS). However, after the 39-year-old came into contact with someone who subsequently tested positive for Covid-19, she went into self-isolation on Monday (July 5). Her husband then threw the tea break confidently on his own, as photos of the event show.

Prince William also appeared alone for the morning service

The photos show the son of Prince Charles (72) and the late Princess Diana (1961-1997) happy and relaxed in a suit and tie. On the grounds of Buckingham Palace, he had a lively conversation with invited guests, mainly employees of the British health system, and members of a marching band. Prince William also had to attend the service in London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral, which took place in honor of the special anniversary, unplanned in the morning, as reported by “People”, among others.

The 39-year-old and Duchess Kate have been patrons of the NHS Charities Together organization, which unites a total of 240 charities under one roof, since December 2020. With their garden party, they wanted to pay tribute to those NHS employees who overcame themselves during the corona pandemic, Kensington Palace said earlier.

You are fully vaccinated

The news that Duchess Kate had contact with a person who tested positive for corona was first spread on Monday by Royal reporter Rebecca English on her Twitter account. “Last week the Duchess of Cambridge came into contact with someone who subsequently tested positive for Covid-19. Her Royal Highness does not experience any symptoms, but follows all relevant government guidelines and isolates herself at home”, it said in the first tweet. “Prince William will still meet social obligations today because he does not have to self-isolate,” she said in another tweet after.

Duchess Kate and Prince William have both already received their corona vaccinations. Some time ago, they shared photos of their vaccination appointments on their shared Instagram account.
