Uproar around the British palace – and in Prince William’s circle of friends. Scandal author Omid Scobie allegedly makes serious accusations against the heir to the throne in his new book “Endgame”. Author Omid Scobie apparently claims that King Charles’ eldest would take targeted actions against Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan.

The palace tremors don’t stop. On November 28, 2023, journalist Omid Scobie, 42, will deliver the latest blow against the royal family. His current book “Endgame” is allegedly full of supposedly scandalous revelations about the Windsors – like his debut work “Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family”, which was published in 2020. The Sussexes, on the other hand, can sit back and relax.

The author has long been considered the couple’s mouthpiece and is even referred to as their “cheerleader”. It should therefore come as no surprise that, among other things Prince William, 41, gets rid of his fat and faces serious allegations. A predictable move that caused outrage among the royal’s circle of friends even before the Scobie frontal attack was published.

Prince William is defended by his confidants

Scobie is said to claim William is defaming Prince Harry, 39, by saying “putting his loyalty to the monarchy above that of his brother and knowing information about the exiled royal and Duchess Meghan, 42, leaked. An act of defamation against one’s own brother? The palace has so far remained silent about the harsh accusations, but those close to him Prince of Wales go to the barricades. In an interview with “Daily Mail”, the friends’ anger was expressed. A source close to the heir to the throne assures that the portrayal of the 41-year-old in Scobie’s book is the “exact opposite” of what he actually is.

“He has always been very tight-lipped when it comes to his family and has made it clear to everyone around him that he would not make ‘deals’ with the media,” the insider said. “Like Harry, he is scarred by his childhood experiences of seeing his mother and father caught up in the so-called ‘War of the Waleses’. He did not want history to repeat itself.” An attitude he shared with his brother. “That was something he and Harry should agree on.”

Another source from the royal’s inner circle is downright outraged: “It’s one thing to be critical of the royal family. This is freedom of expression. But it’s another thing to peddle conspiracy theories passed off as facts. The claim that [königliche Angestellte] negative stories [über Harry und Meghan] leak is completely made up. That simply didn’t happen.” On the contrary, attempts were made early on to make it easy for Meghan to join the Royal Family, the source asserts:

The truth is that practically from the moment they got engaged, everyone was walking on eggshells to make them happy.

The heir to the throne is power-hungry and overestimates his wife?

In an interview in the Sunday Times, Scobie described the heir to the throne as a power-hungry person who had no problem using dirty tricks. His confidants know about his occasional hot-headedness, but they don’t trust William to use such dishonest methods. Scobie’s portrayal of Catherine, Princess of Wales, 41, also met with pure horror from those around the couple. In the book it is said that Kate is a woman, “who is afraid of more than just grinning photo ops.”

In conversation, the author says: “The little things we see with the Princess of Wales might not be noticed if they came from another member of the royal family, but with Kate it’s ‘Wow’!” He insists that a family friend claimed that the Royal Family was angry about the hype surrounding William’s wife. The hype surrounding her would be perceived as unfair by some in the family circle. “This will really upset William,” said one of the Daily Mail sources. “He is incredibly proud of what his wife has achieved. The Princess has been the driving force behind much of her work, particularly when it comes to improving mental health.”

“Endgame” by Omid Scobie will be available in stores on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.
