Within a few days, Prince William and Prince Harry are the center of attention at completely different awards ceremonies in the USA. One is already causing trouble.

Usually there are almost 9000 kilometers between them: Prince William, 40, lives with Kate, 40, and the children in England, Harry with his loved ones in California. The distance is good for both sides. Ever since Harry, 38, and Meghan, 41, turned their backs on the royals, there has been an ice age between the brothers.

There will probably be no meeting between Prince William and Prince Harry in the USA

It sounds exciting that William and Harry are now planning big appearances in the USA almost at the same time. But your relationship could suffer even more as a result. On December 2nd in Boston, William presented the “Earthshot Prize”, one of the world’s most prestigious awards in the field of climate protection. An important topic to which he has devoted himself for some time and for which he has been able to win numerous top-class colleagues. Including environmental activist Luisa Neubauer, 26, and former US presidential candidate John Kerry, 78, the government’s climate protection officer. Big names, lots of reputation.

A costly event

The “Ripple Of Hope Award” for human rights, which is presented to Harry and Meghan four days later in New York, is very different. Alec Baldwin, 64, was hired as moderator. A difficult choice. A year ago, the Hollywood actor shot the camerawoman while shooting. If you dig deep into your pocket, you can attend this award ceremony in the “Hilton Hotel Midtown”. The main prize winner is the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj, 44, who of course will not appear in person. In order for the prize to receive the desired attention, Harry and Meghan are now also being awarded. The so-called “Pioneer Package” costs one million dollars. If you spend so much on your tickets, you can sit at the table with Harry and Meghan – royals you can touch, so to speak.

Prince Harry: ‘We are on different paths at the moment’

Monetizing his heritage has been a part of Harry’s life since he moved to America in 2020. Without the tens of millions from his co-ops with Netflix and Spotify, he could not have afforded his luxury property in Montecito, California. What are the two now being awarded for? Organizer Kerry Kennedy, 64, from the “Robert F. Kennedy Foundation” explains that Harry and Meghan had the courage to denounce “structural racism in the English royal family”. That Harry and Meghan accept an award with this reason is a slap in the face for King Charles, 74, and heir to the throne William. “We are on different paths at the moment,” Prince Harry said of his older brother. Just how different their ways are can be seen in the USA.
