Since the publication of Prince Harry’s memoir, relations with Prince William have been more strained than ever. But the quarreling brothers must find a solution before King Charles is crowned. A circumstance that puts the palace under pressure.

Prince Harry, 38, unpacked in his memoir “Spare” (German: “Reserve”). The fact that Prince William, 40, is said to have urged his brother to wear the Nazi costume and physically attacked him are just two of Harry’s explosive allegations. That’s why the Prince of Wales is said to be angrier than ever at his little brother. But King Charles, 74, would like to have his second child and his wife Duchess Meghan, 41, at his coronation in May. Before that, however, his sons should get along – a mammoth task that poses difficulties for the palace.

Prince William is angrier than ever

Prince William and Prince Harry have had a broken relationship for several years. The Sussexes’ resignation as senior royals in 2020 and their Oprah interview a year later are said to have enraged the Duke of Cornwall. William couldn’t understand why his brother washed dirty laundry in public. However, the publication of Harry’s autobiography has provoked an unprecedented anger in William, a source now reveals to the “Daily Mail”. The 40-year-old simply cannot understand the malicious intent behind the memoirs, the character assassination that Harry is doing against him. With the tell-all book, Harry sealed the end of their relationship. But King Charles still has a say in this.

Dispute between Prince Harry and Prince William worries the palace

Because the monarch wants the entire family to be present at his coronation. Therefore, he is said to have invited Harry and Meghan. According to the “Daily Mail” their participation is also “fully expected”. But the historical event should not be overshadowed by the dispute between the brothers. A solution is needed, the waves should finally be smoothed out. “The longer the feud goes on, the less likely a reconciliation becomes,” a palace insider told Us Weekly, adding, “With the coronation just a few months away, appropriate action must be taken immediately.”

In addition, the palace is “trying to find solutions to keep the peace and create some kind of reunion and unity between William and Harry. It’s now or never,” the source continued. Since William in particular is angry, but stands behind his father, it should now be up to Charles to push the reconciliation. A few weeks ago, the regent asked the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, 67, to mediate between his sons. It remains to be seen how fruitful this and possible other approaches will be.
