Prince William was the first royal to comment directly on the Oprah interview. Now he was backed by the Queen and Prince Charles.

It was the first real, direct reaction to the Oprah interview with Prince Harry (36) and Duchess Meghan (39): Prince William (38) said during a school visit in London that his family was "absolutely not racist" and also gave to not having spoken to his brother since the CBS show aired. But he would want to do this soon. Now the British "Daily Mail" reports that both Queen Elizabeth II (94) and Prince Charles (72) are behind William's statement.

According to a palace insider, William had "done very well in the eyes of the queen and heir to the throne given the emotions and the scale of it all". Both Buckingham Palace and Clarence House would have endorsed William's appearance and comment. Above all, William and his wife, Duchess Kate (39), are "saddened" because of Meghan's accusations of racism, as it goes on to say.
