Royal completes first appointment after summer break

Prince William is back from his summer vacation and has completed his first appointment. He continues to work on his “Homewards” project.
Since his last public appearance at the Wimbledon final in June, things have been quite quiet around Prince William (41) and his wife, Princess Kate (41), who went on summer vacation with the family. The new school year has now begun for their children Prince George (10), Princess Charlotte (8) and Prince Louis (5) – and it is also time for the royals to devote themselves to their duties and projects. Today, September 7th, William made his first public appearance after the break.
Royal appointment in Bournemouth
The prince took the train to Bournemouth in southwest England, as can be seen in a story on William and his wife’s official Instagram channel. He was traveling as part of his “Homewards” initiative, with which the royal wants to combat homelessness. In Bournemouth he wanted to “explore what role local businesses can play in supporting our mission”.
“In a modern and progressive society, everyone should have a safe home, be treated with respect and receive the support they need,” it says on the “Homewards” homepage. The project is organized locally. Local businesses, organizations and helpers should join forces to combat homelessness.
Coffee, football and onlookers
In Bournemouth, William first visited a branch of the Pret A Manger chain, where he watched their “Rising Star” program. This is intended to help homeless people get and keep a job. Among other things, he talked to the employees and also went behind the counter to make coffee in a red apron, as can be seen in the pictures. which the royals shared on Instagram.
William also had his photo taken with numerous onlookers in front of the store. We then went to the football club AFC Bournemouth. There the royal became according to a report in “Town & Country” magazine Among other things, we were informed about how the club supports people who are at risk of homelessness – and how the club would like to further expand this work as part of the “Homewards” program.
