A few days ago, Prince William awarded his Earthshot Prize in Singapore. On the occasion of the TV broadcast on November 12, 2023, the Prince of Wales has now posted stunning behind-the-scenes photos of the rehearsals.

Prince William, 41, traveled alone to Singapore at the beginning of November to attend several events on environmental protection and to award the Earthshot Prize, which he founded. The awards ceremony was recorded on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, and stars such as Cate Blanchett, 54, and “This is Us” actor Sterling K. Brown, 47, took part. The TV broadcast of the royal environmental prize will follow on Sunday, November 12th. To help promote the event that is close to his heart, William is now taking to social media to take a look behind the scenes and share some stunning footage.

Prince William shares incredible behind-the-scenes moments

On his official Instagram account, Prince William posts a total of four photos that show him rehearsing for the Earthshot Prize. At the awards ceremony, the heir to the throne finally led the evening and gave a speech. Of course he had to rehearse this beforehand. The stunning images were taken by photographer Chris Jackson, 43, who often travels with the Waleses.

The first shot shows King Charles’ son, 74, standing at the back of the stage with a beam of light shining above his head. In the second picture you can see that William also put on a suit for the rehearsals, but wore white sneakers for comfort reasons. The Prince of Wales also took the time to talk to the organizers, as the fourth photo in the series shows.

William apologizes for Catherine’s absence

At the start of his stay in Singapore, Prince William visited… November 6th at the “United for Wildlife” summit and gave a speech – in which he acknowledged the absence of Catherine, Princess of Wales, 41, explained. “I’m very happy to be back in Singapore. It’s been eleven years since Catherine and I had a memorable visit here on behalf of my late grandmother in the year of her Diamond Jubilee,” he began, according to the Mirror – and then pushed “And I should mention that Catherine is very sorry that she can’t be here – she’s helping George through his first big trials.”
