Prince William: Sweet gesture for wife Kate during a synagogue visit

Two days after Prince William (41) had to cancel a memorial service for his godfather Constantine II of Greece (1940-2023) for “personal reasons”, the heir to the British throne appeared in public again. On Thursday (February 29), the royal visited a synagogue in London.

During the visit, William took part in discussions around anti-Semitism in Britain and met with two Holocaust survivors. William wore a dark blue suit with a matching tie and yarmulke for the appearance.

Special gesture for Princess Kate

William was originally supposed to visit the synagogue on the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Holocaust on January 27th – together with his wife Princess Kate (41). But a few days before the planned appearance, the Princess of Wales had to undergo abdominal surgery, from which she is currently recovering at home.

Kate wasn’t there for the visit on Thursday, But William mentioned her in a short speech. “Anti-Semitism has no place in our society. (…) Catherine and I are very concerned about the growing anti-Semitism that you spoke about this morning, and I am sorry if any of you have had to experience this,” he said Prince.

In a particularly sweet gesture, the senior rabbi of the Western Marble Arch Synagogue presented William with a bouquet of flowers for Princess Kate during the visit.
