Tensions have been building between the Sussexes and Prince William, as well as the rest of the British royal family. However, Prince Charles’ eldest son is said to no longer trust Harry and Meghan for a very specific reason.

Prince Harry, 37, and Duchess Meghan, 40, retiring as senior royals has brought chaos to the British royal family. Since the so-called “Megxit”, not only have the tasks of the working royals had to be redistributed, the royal family has also repeatedly had to deal with spicy revelations from the Sussexes – starting with the explosive Oprah interview in March 2021.

Prince William, 39, should therefore “boil with anger”, as Royal expert Robert Jobson now claims. But his brother’s numerous interviews are not the only reason for Williams’ lack of confidence.

Prince William was ‘deeply disappointed’

Shortly before participating in the Invictus Games, Prince Harry visited Queen Elizabeth, 96, and reported about it a little later on the “Today” show. The Duke of Sussex is again sharing private details from royal life, which should go against the grain of Prince William. As was the fact that Harry ignored presenter Hoda Kotb’s question about missing his father and brother.

According to Robert Jobson, who has already published excerpts from his book “William at 40: The Making of a Modern Monarch” via “Daily Mail”, which will be published in May, William has been enraged by Harry’s talkativeness in the past. “To say that William was deeply disappointed would be an understatement. He wasn’t sure he could ever fully trust his brother again,” a palace insider told Jobson.

With this, Harry and Meghan “insulted” the Queen

However, the Royal author suspects that Prince William’s dwindling trust in his brother and sister-in-law has another reason: Harry and Meghan tried to maintain the “Sussex Royal” brand after their resignation. However, they were banned from using the word “Royal” – after they weren’t any more – in their branding. In July 2020 they gave up the name and the Sussex Royal Foundation and established their foundation “Archewell”.

William is said to have been very upset that Harry and Meghan didn’t immediately abandon their brand. “That was it for William – he felt that they took the Queen by surprise in a way that was extremely insulting and disrespectful,” Robert Jobson quoted another source as saying.
