Prince William publishes touching farewell words

The world mourns the late Queen Elizabeth, † 96. But most of all, the monarch’s family mourns, because they lost not only the queen, but above all their mother, grandmother, sister. Prince William, 40, is now posting touching lines to his “grannie” on Instagram, which show how much he loved the person behind the crown, his grandmother.

“On Thursday the world lost an extraordinary leader, […], but I personally lost a grandmother. And while I mourn her loss, I am also deeply grateful. I had the Queen’s wisdom and reassurance well into my fiftieth decade.

My wife had her advice and support for 20 years. My three children were able to spend the holidays with her and made memories they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

She was by my side in my happiest moments. And she was by my side through the sad days of my life.

I knew that day would come, but it will be a while before I realize that I now have to live my life without a granny.

I thank her for the kindness she has shown my family and me. […]

My grandmother once said that sorrow is the price we pay for love. All the sadness we feel in the coming weeks will be an expression of the love we felt for our extraordinary Queen.”

Just a few weeks ago, Princess Eugenie, 32, husband Jack Brooksbank, 36, and son August, 1, left the UK and moved to Portugal. Now mother Sarah Ferguson, 62, has visited the sunny country. At the Lisbon Book Fair, Queen Elizabeth’s former daughter-in-law, 96, presented the Portuguese edition of her novel “Her Heart for a Compass” and signed a few copies.

Prince William and Duchess Catherine leave the church in the village when moving

A new chapter in life has begun for Prince William, 40, Duchess Catherine, 40, and their three children. The Cambridges have already spent their first weekend in their new home. Since last week, the family has been living in Adelaide Cottage on the grounds of Windsor Castle, within earshot of Queen Elizabeth, 96. The monarch should be happy that her grandson and his loved ones now live very close by. But one thing will impress them even more: the new cottage occupants have not made any great demands on their new home.

Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of “Majesty Magazine”, calls the repairs to the house “according to royal standards without frills”. In an interview with “The Sun” she reports that William and his wife only asked for a new coat of paint. In the meantime, everyday life is going for The new residents in Windsor are already moving on. School started this week for their offspring Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4. From now on, the mini-royals will attend the Lambrook School together in nearby Bracknell. And maybe from now on the Queen can look forward to more afternoon visits. Not only the Cambridge estate, but also her life has apparently received a new coat of paint.

Sharp criticism of Duchess Meghan

At the “One Young World Summit” on September 4, 2022, Duchess Meghan, 41, was supposed to give a lecture on gender equality in the world of work. But the mom of two didn’t mention a single anecdote about women during her speech to around 2,000 people. Instead, she gushed about Prince Harry, 37, and the “life-changing” effects of being a mother to Archie, saying it was “very nice to be back in the UK”. At one point, she spoke of her pride at being a “mother” and expressed emotion when the audience applauded. She then spoke of how her life had “changed significantly” — a reference that may have something to do with Archie, the royal family and Megxit.

Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief for “Majesty Magazine”, criticizes the Duchess’s speech sharply, telling “The Sun” that she only spoke about herself. “I can’t imagine or understand how the 2,000 young people understood a single word of what they were talking about,” emphasizes the editor-in-chief. “It didn’t make any sense. It was all about her and everything was related to her,” she adds. “It was all about ‘me, me, me’ and praising yourself.”

Queen Elizabeth will inaugurate Liz Truss

After weeks of election campaigning, it is now clear: Liz Truss, 47, has prevailed against Rishi Sunak, 42, and will become the new Prime Minister of Great Britain. Accordingly, Queen Elizabeth, 96, will receive Truss and induct her into her new office on September 6, 2022. The monarch is doing this for the first time in her 70-year reign at Balmoral Castle rather than Buckingham Palace due to her ongoing mobility problems.

Liz Truss, the previous Foreign Secretary, is only the third prime minister after Margaret Thatcher and Theresa May and is now succeeding Boris Johnson, 58.

Duchess Meghan + Prince Harry: Europe trip starts in the Normalo plane

Duchess Meghan, 41, and Prince Harry, 37, have landed in Europe. The Sussexes visit the UK and Germany this week. According to “Mirror”, they landed in their British homeland on Saturday, September 3, 2022. However, Queen Elizabeth’s grandson, 96, and his wife allegedly did without togetherness, a champagne breakfast and enough legroom when they arrived. The couple are said to have ditched the luxury of a private jet and instead flew across the pond on a scheduled airliner. The modest choice of transport may be related to the harsh criticism that Harry in particular has had to deal with in the past. As recently as August 2021, the dedicated environmentalist was attacked for taking a private jet back to Santa Barbara, California, from a benefit polo game in Aspen, Colorado. There were allegations as early as 2019 when the Sussexes traveled to Ibiza and southern France in this luxurious and unecological way a few months after the birth of son Archie, 3.

The former senior royals are taking part in the One Young World Summit in Manchester today, September 5th. This is an event that brings together young leaders from more than 190 countries. On September 6th, the couple will travel to Dusseldorf and appear at the “One Year to Go” countdown event to next year’s Invictus Games. On September 8th, the two will be present at the WellChild Awards ceremony in London.
