Prince William publishes touching farewell words

The world mourns the late Queen Elizabeth, † 96. But most of all, the monarch’s family mourns, because they lost not only the queen, but above all their mother, grandmother, sister. Prince William, 40, is now posting touching lines to his “grannie” on Instagram, which show how much he loved the person behind the crown, his grandmother.

“On Thursday the world lost an extraordinary leader, […], but I personally lost a grandmother. And while I mourn her loss, I am also deeply grateful. I had the Queen’s wisdom and reassurance well into my fiftieth decade.

My wife had her advice and support for 20 years. My three children were able to spend the holidays with her and made memories they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

She was by my side in my happiest moments. And she was by my side through the sad days of my life.

I knew that day would come, but it will be a while before I realize that I now have to live my life without a granny.

Duchess Catherine and Prince William bring their children to the new school

A new chapter in life has begun for Prince William, 40, Duchess Catherine, 40, and their three children. The Cambridges have already spent their first weekend in their new home.
