Princess Alexia: She receives family support at college in Wales

UWC Atlantic College in Llantwit Major, Wales, becomes the Royals’ favorite school. After Princess Elisabeth of Belgium, 20, Princess Leonor of Spain, 16, and Princess Alexia of the Netherlands, 17, another young lady of royal origin is now to attend the school. On her private Instagram channel, Countess Leonore of Orange-Nassau, 16, has the youngest daughter of Prince Constantijn, 52, and Princess Laurentien, 56, of the Netherlands, apparently revealed she too is continuing her studies at UWC Atlantic College. In doing so, she follows the example set by her cousin Alexia. Her brother, Count Claus-Casimir, who is two years older, attended Gordonstoun boarding school in Moray, Scotland, from 2020 to 2022. Allegedly, the stories of Alexia and Claus were so inspiring that Leonore also decided to move abroad. She rarely appears in public.

The news has since been confirmed by the family’s spokesman, who told All Things Amalia: “On behalf of Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien, I can confirm that their daughter Leonore has completed her secondary education at the United World College of the Atlantic in Llantwit Major , Wales, will continue.” The school welcomes more than 350 students from 90 different countries every year. Former graduates include Elisabeth, heir to the Belgian throne, King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, 55, and Princess Raiyah bint Hussein of Jordan, 36.

Countess Leonore von Oranien-Nassau likes to be with her cousins, like here with Princess Amalia at the traditional winter photo shoot of the Dutch royal family in February 2020 in Lech, Austria. Soon she will finally be able to spend more time with Princess Alexia in Wales.

Princess Mary: Losing her mother made her lonely

Princess Mary, 50, is vulnerable. On September 1, 2022, Prince Frederik’s wife, 54, opened a People’s Movement Against Loneliness conference at the Hernings Congress Center in Copenhagen. A confluence of different initiatives in which Queen Margrethe’s daughter-in-law, 82, gave a glimpse into her heart.

“I’ve felt lonely at different times in my life,” Mary revealed to BT tabloid, adding, “Especially when I lost my mother. That was a very lonely time in my life.” In 1997, her mother died at the age of 55 from complications after heart surgery. The loss of a loved one has made the Royal aware of the issue in the long term: “Loneliness can happen to many of us, but you have to differentiate between the feeling we all get at times and what we call sheer loneliness. It has serious consequences and that is the focus today and it is the challenge to our society.”
