Princess Anne has held her first religious ceremony since the Queen’s death. Her brother King Charles III. held audiences.

Princess Anne (72) awarded medals to some personalities this Wednesday. Among those honored at the ceremony was Paralympic swimmer and gold medalist (20) Maisie Summers-Newton, who now officially holds the MBE (Member of the British Empire) title.

“Congratulations to everyone who received their honor today,” it said in an Instagram post the Royal Family. In the coming months, members of the royal family will award further decorations to those named in the late Queen’s birthday lists, it said. Traditionally, numerous personalities of Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) have been honored with medals at the “Queen’s Birthday Honours”.

Focus on Liz Truss

King Charles III (73), on the other hand, held audiences at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday and received Yang di-Pertuan Agong from Malaysia accompanied by Raja Permaisuri Agong. An Instagram post also shows him together with British Prime Minister Liz Truss (47), whom he welcomed to the palace for “the first regular weekly audience”. In the photo, some users look primarily at the Prime Minister.

“Why is she like that? She needs a few lessons on how a curtsy works” or “You have to practice more Lizzy” are the comments. At a meeting with the king in September, Truss had to put up with malicious comments online because of an apparently awkward kink.
