Queen daughter releases moving statement
Princess Anne has been at the Queen’s side for the past 24 hours.

Princess Anne stayed with her mother until her death. Now she thanked the people for their sympathy.
The daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022), Princess Anne (72), thanked all mourners for their sympathy in a moving statement. “Experiencing the love and respect shown by so many people on these journeys is both humbling and uplifting,” she writes on Twitter about a picture with her mother.
She herself was lucky enough to experience the last 24 hours of her beloved mother’s life. “It was an honor and a privilege to accompany her on her final journey,” Anne continued. The Princess flew from Edinburgh to London with the Queen’s body on Tuesday evening. There the coffin with the mortal remains will spend the night in Buckingham Palace. A funeral procession will take place at Westminster Hall on Wednesday.
