Princess Beatrice: Her wedding date is now officially fixed

The wedding of Princess Beatrice of York (31) and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi (37) will take place on Friday May 29, 2020. The palace announced this now. The two got engaged in Italy last September after being in love for eleven months.

Queen Elizabeth II (93) gave her permission to hold the ceremony at the Chapel Royal at St James's Palace in London, the statement said. There will then be a private reception hosted by the Queen. This takes place in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.

Prince Andrew plays an important role

Beatrice is the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew (59) and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson (60). Andrew had resigned from his royal duties last year because of the Epstein scandal. He is said to still lead his daughter to the altar, according to British media reports.

Beatrice's sister, Princess Eugenie (29), married Jack Brooksbank (34) at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle in 2018, as did her cousin Prince Harry (35) and Duchess Meghan (38). Beatrice and her fiance are said to want to celebrate their marriage more cautiously.
